NOTARY SERVICES
Under current legislation (D.L. 71/2011), the notarial services are only available to Italian citizens who are permanently abroad.
To sign notarial deeds and for other services, foreign nationals must refer to a Notary Public (Notaris) in the Netherlands.
Dutch documents to be valid in Italy must be legalised by means of an Apostille. To obtain this please contact the Dutch Court (Rechtbank). The document must also be translated into Italian by an official translator (beëdigd vertaler) with signature of translator legalised with Apostille.
The notarial deeds signed at this Consular Office are valid to be used in the territory of the Italian Republic and at any Italian Embassy or Consulate abroad. Italian citizens who are in the Netherlands and need to sign a notarial deed to be valid in the Netherlands or any other Country but Italy, will need to contact a Dutch notary public.
