THE FISCAL CODE

. The Tax Code is essential to carry out financial transactions in Italy, for properties and/or inheritance matters, and for any transaction between public/private entities and individuals. It is also issued to non Italians.

The Tax Code is issued no-cost by the competent office of the Agenzia delle Entrate in Italy, but it could also be requested by the private individuals at the Consular Sections abroad

ATTENTION

  • INCOMPLETE OR MISTAKEN APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED BY THIS CONSULAR SECTION AND WILL BE REJECTED
  • IN CASE OF A WRONG OR INCORRECT TAX CODE RELEASED IN ITALY THE CITIZEN WILL HAVE TO SUBMIT A CLAIM DIRECTLY TO THE
  • COMPETENT ISSUING OFFICE OF THE AGENZIA DELLE ENTRATE IN ITALY
  • COMPANIES/ENTERPRISES MUST APPLY FOR A TAX CODE DIRECTLY AT THE RELEVANT OFFICE OF THE AGENZIA DELLE ENTRATE IN ITALY
  • IN CASE OF LOSS/THEFT/DETERIORATION A DUPLICATE OF THE TAX CODE CAN BE REQUESTED FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS HERE BELOW

Instructions to request a Tax Code at this Consular Section

Forward exclusively by e-mail (denhaag.info@esteri.it ) the following scanned documents:

  1. Form AA4/8  https://amblaja.esteri.it/ambasciata_laja/it/informazioni_e_servizi/servizi_consolari/codice-fiscale.html  completely filled in block letters and signed.
  2. Copy of a valid ID (either passport or identity card)

The certificate showing the Tax Code will be forwarded to the applicant by this Consular Section exclusively scanned by e-mail.

It is, therefore, recommended to clearly specify the current and correct private e-mail address.

Tax Code as a Hard Plastic Card:
The request of having a hard plastic card, could be submitted coming to this Consular Section during the opening hours indicated on the web site of the Embassy of Italy in Den Haag ( https://amblaja.esteri.it/ambasciata_laja/it/ambasciata/gli_uffici  ).

PIN Code to access the Internet service of FISCONLINE:

The Italian citizens registered in AIRE (Register of the Italians Residing Abroad) or temporarily living abroad could access the Internet service of the Agenzia delle Entrate for the yearly Income Declaration by linking to the section FISCONLINE ( www.agenziaentrate.gov.it ). In order to obtain free access to such service the applicant must submit a formal request by e-mail to denhaag.info@esteri.it  attaching a copy of a valid ID (either passport or identity card) and the request for the PIN to be submitted to the office of the Agenzia delle Entrate in Italy by this Consular Section in order to validate it and forward via e-mail to the applicant the first 4 digits of the PIN Code received by the Agenzia delle Entrate.
